Rockstock a revolutionary breakthrough in papermaking technology. What is Rockstock? It is not pulp! It is not synthetic! 81% Mineral Stone CaCO3 19% Non Toxic Resin Environmentally Energy Efficient RECYCLED Rockstock is made from waste from the building industry. Offcuts and waste stone and marble tiles are ground to recover Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) that forms 80.9% of Rockstock RPD Paper. Not pulp Paper-Not Plastic Film-Reduces the use of plastic We call it Rockstock (Rich Mineral Paper from Stone) patented in 40 Countries The Stone Paper properties includes: Reduces CO2 release No strong Acid No Bleach, No Base Energy saved- New Pulp Papers use 1.5 times the amount of energy that Rockstock uses (includes electricity (Hydro & thermal) oil, coal) Recycled papers use 2.6 times the amount of energy that RMP uses (includes electricity, oil, coal) Biodegradable - (Cracks like an eggshell if left in the sun for 6 months) Recyclable (can be made into Rockstock again) Water proof, mist proof, grease proof, anti-moth & insect proof. No trees are used. China is buying the worlds trees. In 2004 China imported 24.5 million tons of pulp and paper products. (this is eqivalent to 100,000,000 cubic metres / 4.5 million hectares or 45,000 square Kms of forest. Production of 36,000 tons of RMP per year will save 336 million trees/ 29.23 million cubic meters of fresh water, 128.8 million KWh of electricity and reduce CO2 release by 210,000 tons per year. Tear resistant (requires no lamination to give strength) High physical strength, and high fold durability. No water used in production-hence no effluent created. No pollution, If buried, with increased ground temperature, RMP will begin to break down. Within allowable toxicity and emissions levels if burned. Will incinerate without black or toxic smoke and will cause no damage to incinerator Prints 4 colour process , less ink is required. Soy and environmental inks can be used Attractive quality matt finish and appeal Food grade, suitable for food containers and in Mould labelling. Available in weights ranging from 96gsm through 600gsm Carbon Neutral Certifications: SGS ROHS Certification; FDA Compliance Certificate for the code of Federal Regulations with respect to Soluble and extractable matter as an environmental paper. ISO Accreditation and many more. Pulp Paper and RMP Compliment each other in the market place. Reduces Cost RMP is less expensive to produce and will fall much further as production increases and development costs are absorbed. Currently recycled stocks are more expensive than new pulp paper products. This paper can also be recycled with No 2 Plastics as calcium Carbonate is used as a filler in plastics. |
